Zoi Sadowski Synnott is a snowboarder who has competed for New Zealand. She competed at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympic Games. She was the first athlete from New Zealand to win a medal at the Winter Olympic Games in 26 years. When she won her medal, she was the youngest medalist ever from New Zealand, although this record was broken only hours later by Nico Porteous. She was chosen to be the flag bearer of New Zealand during the closing ceremony of Pyeongchang 2018. After winning the gold medal in snowboard slopestyle in 2022, she became the first-ever gold medalist for New Zealand at the Olympic Winter Games.
