Yuzuru Hanyu is a figure skater who has competed for Japan. He competed at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympic Games. He was the first Asian figure skater to win an Olympic gold medal in the men's singles. He was also the first male figure skater to retain an individual Olympic title since Dick Button in 1952. He scored a world record in an international event in his short program at Sochi 2014 after scoring 101.45.
