Youssef Abbas has competed for Egypt 

Youssef Abbas was a basketball player who competed for Egypt. He competed at the 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympic Games. He passed away on 28 October 1956, at the age of 35, due to a plane crash, together with fellow athlete Ahmed Fouad Nessim. He was selected to play during the 1948 Olympic Games, although it is not known if he actually played. He only played one match during the 1952 Olympic Games, which was the third group match against Cuba.
