Ski slopes of YongPyong Resort, 2013-03-10

The Yongpyong Alpine Centre (용평리조트) is the biggest ski resort in South Korea. The resort was established in 1975, located about 200 km from the capital Seoul, and a 10 kilometres drive from Pyeongchang. It is currently owned by the Unification Church, and it offers all-year round leisure with 31 ski slopes and 45 golf holes.

The resort has hosted ski and biathlon events before, last in 2009, and was used for the slalom events of Alpine Skiing. This venue has a capacity of 6,000.
