William Abbott is a sailboat racer who has competed for Canada. He competed at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympic Games.
His wife Joanne Abbott competed with him during the 1996 Summer Olympics, while his brother Matt Abbott competed alongside him four years later. His daughter Katie Abbott has also competed at the Olympics.
