Vincenzo Abbagnale has competed for Italy

Vincenzo Abbagnale is a rower who has competed for Italy. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. He was also due to be selected for Rio de Janeiro 2016 but was handed a 16-month ban after missing three out-of-competition drug tests in 2016.

In a postponed edition of the Olympic Games of 2020, he joined the men's pair event with defending bronze medalist Giovanni Abagnale, taking the place of Marco di Costanzo in the semifinals. Abagnale and Abbagnale finished fifth in the semifinal to qualify for the B final for the places 7 to 12, but after finishing fifth in this last race, they ended the competition on 11th place.

His father Giuseppe Abbagnale is an Olympic rower, along with his uncles Agostino and Carmine Abbagnale.
