Triathlon was introduced during the 2000 Summer Olympics. A team event was introduced at Tokyo 2020. The triathlon consists out of a modified version of:
Great Britain and Switzerland have won the same amount of medals (two gold, one silver, two bronze), although Great Britain has won four medals in the last two events. Australia has also won five medals, winning one gold, two silver, and two bronze.
