Timo Boll is a table tennis player who has competed for Germany.
He competed at the 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Summer Olympic Games. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful German table tennis players in Olympic history, along with Dimitrij Ovtcharov . Among his seven Olympic trips, he won a total of four medals without receiving a single gold, all of which were attributed to his role in the men's team tournament. He became the sixth table tennis player to participate in seven editions of the Olympic Games, following Jörgen Persson , Jean-Michel Saive , Zoran Primorac , Segun Toriola , and Olofunke Oshonaike . He was also selected to carry the German flag during the Rio de Janeiro 2016 opening ceremony .
