Swimming at the 1996 Summer Olympics was held from 20 to 26 July 1996 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

The women's 4x200 metres freestyle relay made its official debut at the Games. This edition marked the last Olympics to hold the B-finals in swimming.
