The women's normal hill of Ski Jumping 2014 during the 2014 Winter Olympics was held on 11 February 2014 in the RusSki Gorki Ski Jumping Center. With 30 athletes competing, the event was won by Carina Vogt from Germany, with Daniela Iraschko-Stolz from Austria taking the silver medal and Coline Mattel from France taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the trial round, all competitors performed a jump, scored on distance, balance, style, and some other factors. All athletes advance to the final round, in which all thirty competitors jump again. The athlete with the highest combined score after two rounds is the winner of the event.

Thirty athletes qualified for the inaugural edition of the event with Sara Takanashi as the absolute favorite for the title. She had won ten out of thirteen competitions in the current season, with Daniela Iraschko-Stolz besting her in the World Cup event in Slovenia. Carina Vogt and Irina Avvakumova had also finished on the podium in the majority of the events. The previous two competitions resulted in Julia Kykkaenen and Maja Vtic winning bronze medals, setting them up for an outsider position for the event's Olympic debut. Sarah Hendrickson was the reigning world champion. Other outsiders and medal contenders included Yuki Ito, Coline Mattel, and Maren Lundby.
