The women's 25 metre pistol of Shooting 2020 during the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 29-30 July 2021 in the Asaka Shooting Range. With 44 athletes competing, the event was won by Vitalina Batsarashkina from ROC, with Kim Min-jung from South Korea taking the silver medal and Xiao Jiaruixuan from China taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the qualification, the shooters try to reach a score as high as possible in two different stages, with the eight athletes with the highest scores qualifying for the second round. In the second round, the athletes compete with the shooter with the lowest score being eliminated. The last competitor standing wins the event.

Forty-four athletes qualified for the event with the representatives from Eastern Europe and East Asia as the big favorites for the title. Olena Kostevych was the reigning world champion by defeating Vitalina Batsarashkina in the final of the world championships, after also receiving heavy contention in the final from Tien Chia-chen, while Kim Min-jung, Manu Bhaker, and Xiong Yaxuan had performed very well in the qualification events. Anna Korakaki was the defending Olympic champion but belonged to the potential outsiders, just like Doreen Vennekamp and Monika Karsch.
