Shane Dobbin is a speed skater who has competed for New Zealand. He competed at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympic Games. He was chosen to be the flag bearer of New Zealand at the opening ceremony of Sochi 2014. After the event, he retired from the sport, but was encouraged to return by Reyon Kay, who wanted to compete with him in the team pursuit.
