Sergei Trofimov is a speed skater who has competed for Olympic Athletes from Russia and ROC. He competed at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
He was one of three Russian speed skaters who were allowed to compete in Pyeongchang after the national federation was banned from the Olympic Games. As the youngest of the three, as well as the only male speed skater, he took part in the 1500 metres. He was drawn in the seventh pairing against Fedor Mezentsev, as he set a provisional second-fastest time, barely 2 seconds behind Patrick Roest. He would ultimately finish on 18th place, with his direct opponent Mezentsev finishing 28th.
