Ruth Beitía is a track and field athlete who has competed for Spain. She competed at the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympic Games. She originally finished fourth in the women's high jump at London 2012. She promoted to the bronze-medal spot seven years later after Svetlana Shkolina found guilty of doping. Similarly, her seventh place in 2008 was upgraded to fourth after three Russian high jumpers were disqualified for doping offenses.
