Robert Woodhouse is a swimmer who has competed for Australia. He competed at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympic Games.

Woodhouse's major Olympic success transpired at Los Angeles 1984, when he overcame Jesse Vassallo by a late surge on the final lap to claim the bronze in a new Australian record of 4:20.50. With a third-place feat, he became the first Australian medley swimmer to win an Olympic medal until Brendon Smith joined him to the club at Tokyo 2020.

Four years later in Seoul, Woodhouse returned to his second Games with a less stellar outcome on the medley double (200 and 400), failing to reach the medal rounds in any of his races.

He is the brother-in-law of swimmer Ron McKeon and the uncle of two-time Olympians David and Emma McKeon.
