René Abadie was a cyclist who competed for France. He competed at the 1956 Summer Olympic Games. He passed away on 11 July 1996, at the age of 60.
At his only appearance at the Olympic road race in Melbourne in 1956, he finished 27th out of 44 finished competitors, over six minutes behind the winner. He was one of the helpers of Arnaud Geyre, who won the silver medal in the individual event. In the team competition, the results of the first three finishers were summed up, with French cyclists finishing second, eighth, and twelfth in the individual road race, France received a total of 22 points and won the gold medal, only a single point ahead of Great Britain.
