He competed in the mixed trap competition at the Olympic Games in 1984, and despite his consistency shooting 21 and 22 hits in every round, he ultimately only scored 172 points out of a possible 200, leaving him just inside of the top 50, tied with Elio Gasperoni and Michael Gauci. He was eventually 20 hits behind the podium, with the battle for the medals decided in a shoot-off.
