Patrick Abada is a track and field athlete who has competed for France. He competed at the 1976 Summer Olympic Games.
At the pole vault competition of the 1976 Olympic Games, he was one of twenty finalists to jump over a height of 5.10 metres in the qualification, and one of fifteen to do so at the first try. In the final, he missed his first attempts at 5.30 metres and 5.45 metres, after which he cleared both heights at his second attempts. With three direct competitors immediately clearing the Olympic record of 5.50 metres, he was ranked fifth of seven competitors still in the competition. Due to the number of failed attempts, he would not be able to win a medal if he was able to jump over a height of 5.50 metres. Just like Earl Bell, he tried his luck at the higher 5.55 metres for a medal, but both failed their three attempts, and Abada finished the competition in fourth place.
