Patimat Abakarova is a taekwondoin who has competed for Azerbaijan. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Since she was born in Dagestan, Russia, she competed for Russia until 2013, after which she switched her allegiance to Azerbaijan.

At the women's 49kg of the taekwondo tournament, she was the ninth seed and competed in the first round against the bronze medalist of the world championships Tijana Bogdanovic, losing 2 - 3, despite almost coming back from a three-point deficit after her opponent received four warning penalties. The Serbian would ultimately make it to the final. In the repechages for the bronze medal, she was set in the penultimate round against the first seed, defending Olympic champion, and silver medalist of the world championships Wu Jingyu, winning 4 - 3 after a very strong third round. After the bronze medal bout against sixth seed Yasmina Aziez, she won the first Azerbaijani bronze medal in taekwondo ever after beating the French athlete 7 - 2.
