The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the ski jumping competition round, all competitors performed a single jump, scored on distance, balance, style, and some other factors. All competitors then compete in a cross-country competition, with start differences based on the result of the ski jumping. The team which finished first in the cross-country competition is the winner of the event.
