Nicholas Sprenger is a swimmer who has competed for Australia. He competed at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

At his first Olympics in 2004, Sprenger completed his third leg with a split of 1:48.16 before he handed Ian Thorpe his relay duties at the final exchange. He and his teammates Grant Hackett and Michael Klim saw Thorpe produce the fastest split of the field (1:44.18) on the last leg, but the latter could not catch Klete Keller near the wall for a title defense, leaving him and the Australian men's team with a silver (7:07.46) by 0.13 seconds.

Sprenger placed third at the Australian trials, thereby selecting him to the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay team. When Hackett decided to forego his individual spot, Sprenger replaced him to swim the 200 metres freestyle. At Beijing 2008, he was eliminated from the semifinals with a twelfth place time (1:47.80) and the Australian officials dropped him from the relay team for undisclosed reasons.

He is the cousin of London 2012 silver medalist Christian Sprenger.
