Neil Cochran has competed for Great Britain Neil Cochran has won 2 bronze medals at the Olympic Games

Neil Cochran is a swimmer who has competed for Great Britain. He competed at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympic Games.

Cochran's major Olympic success transpired at Los Angeles 1984, when he pipped his teammate Robin Brew by 0.14 of a second to claim the bronze in the 200 metres individual medley. He also helped his teammates Paul Howe, Paul Easter, and Andrew Astbury set their British record for a historic bronze in the 4x200 metres freestyle relay, lagging nine seconds behind the American hosts and West Germans.

Seoul 1988 turned out to be lackluster for Cochran as he struggled to reach his best form from Los Angeles. He only reached the B-finals of the 100 metres butterfly and the 200 metres individual medley. He also failed to advance from the prelims with a twenty-fifth-fastest time in the 100 metres backstroke.
