Michael Nikolay is a gymnast who has competed for East Germany. He competed at the 1976 and 1980 Summer Olympic Games. He is considered one of the most successful male East German gymnasts of all-time, winning a total of four medals throughout his Olympic career (a silver and three bronze). He shared a third spot with the Soviet gymnastics legend Nikolai Andrianov on the pommel horse at Montreal 1976 and then repeated his feat four years later in Moscow.
