Melita Ruhn is a gymnast who has competed for Romania. She competed at the 1980 Summer Olympic Games.
One of the country's main medal prospects, Ruhn suffered a fractured ankle before going to her first and only Olympics in Moscow. Though she received the fourth highest all-around score among the Romanian women that made her ineligible for the final, Ruhn assisted them to secure a runner-up spot behind their Soviet rivals in the team portion on the rear of her dominant vault routine. Her ankle was sealed in a cast and coach Béla Karolyi took it off before the optional phase of the vault routine. She scored a marvelously perfect 10 and the cast was placed back on her ankle. Apart from the team's second-place feat, Ruhn also added a bronze on the vault final and shared an unanticipated three-way tie for the third spot with Steffi Kraker and Maria Filatova on the uneven bars.
