The Marshall Islands has competed at the Summer Olympics 3 times; Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio de Janeiro 2016, and has yet to compete at a Winter Olympics. So far, the country has not earned any medals yet.
The Marshall Islands’ National Olympic Committee was formed in 2001 and then recognized in 2006.
Olympic History[]
Before it's debut, the island country was controlled at times by Japan, Germany, and the United States. After the country established sovereignty in 1979, the country first created their National Olympic Committee in 2001, and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 2006.[1] The Marshall Islands then made their debut at Beijing 2008.
