Maritza Correia is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. She competed at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games. She swam through the last leg in the heats of the 4x100 metres freestyle relay and saw her teammates secure a silver in the final with an American record time (3:36.39). Despite swimming the heats, she became the first African-American swimmer for the United States to win an Olympic medal.
