Liechtenstein first participated at the Olympic Games in 1936, and has appeared in almost every edition ever since, except for Oslo 1952, Melbourne 1956, and Moscow 1980.
Liechtenstein has won a total of 10 medals at the Winter Olympic Games, of which all in alpine skiing. The nation has yet to win a medal at the Summer Olympic Games, and is the only country to have won medals in the winter but not in summer.
