Lebanon first participated at the Olympic Games in 1948, and has appeared in every event since 1960. The nation has also appeared in almost every edition of the Winter Olympic Games since 1948.

Lebanon has won four medals at the Olympic Games, with three having been won in wrestling and the other one in weightlifting, though it has yet to win an Olympic title.

The Lebanese Olympic Association was created in 1947 and recognized in 1948.
