Kyoko Iwasaki is a swimmer who has competed for Japan. She competed at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
At her Olympic debut in 1992, Iwasaki set a historic mark as the youngest swimmer to ever win an Olympic gold medal, aged 14 and 6 days. In the 200 metres breaststroke, she came from third at the final turn to swiftly pass Anita Nall for the gold with a new Olympic record (2:26.65). A few days later, she could not reproduce a similar fate from the initial half of the double for another medal, finishing thirteenth in the B-final of the 100. She also helped the Japanese women land on the penultimate spot among the top eight teams in the 4x100 metres medley relay.
Four years later in Atlanta, Iwasaki returned to her second Games as the defending champion of the 200 metres breaststroke. Her results faltered in the breaststroke double as she failed to advance from the heats in the 100 and landed on the tenth spot in the B-finals of the 200.
