Kuwait first participated at the Olympic Games in 1968, and has competed at almost every edition of the Summer Olympic Games ever since. The Olympic Committee was banned in 2016, and athletes from the nation competed as Independent Olympic Athletes in Rio de Janeiro. This nation has yet to participate at the Winter Olympic Games.
Kuwait has won three medals at the Summer Olympic Games, with Fehaid Aldeehani having won the first two in 2000 and 2012, after which Abdullah Alrashidi won the third Kuwaiti medal in 2020, all three in shooting.
The Kuwait Olympic Committee was created in 1957 and recognized in 1966.
