Kristel Köbrich has competed for Chile

Kristel Köbrich is a swimmer who has competed for Chile. She competed at the 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 Summer Olympic Games. She was the first female swimmer to represent Chile at the Olympic Games when she made her debut in 2004. Two decades later in Paris, she became the first Latin American swimmer to ever participate in six straight editions of the Olympic Games and the fourth overall to attain such historic feat, following Therese Alshammar, Lars Frölander, and Derya Büyükuncu. She was also selected to carry the Chilean flag during the Athens 2004 opening ceremony.
