Klaas-Erik Zwering is a swimmer who has competed for the Netherlands. He competed at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
Zwering started his Olympic career in Sydney 2000. There, he landed on the sixth spot and tenth overall in the 200 metres backstroke with a Dutch record time (2:00.06), almost clearing a two-minute barrier by a fraction. He also placed fourth as a backstroke swimmer of the Dutch men's team in the 4x100 metres medley relay, barely missing the podium by almost two seconds.
Four years later in Athens, Zwering was only selected to the Dutch men's team in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay. He and his teammates Johan Kenkhuis, Mitja Zastrow, and the world record holder Pieter van den Hoogenband set a Dutch record time (3:14.36) to snatch a silver over the Americans by 0.36 of a second in the final.
