Jiang Yuyuan is a gymnast who has competed for China. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Upon entering her first and only Olympics in 2008, Jiang and her teammates became the subject of an age controversy as several Chinese media outlets reported her birth year as 1994 instead of the actual date, indicating that she may have been ineligible to compete. An official investigation by the International Gymnastics Federation ruled that Jiang and the rest of the Chinese women's team were old enough to compete. Despite the age discrepancy issue, Jiang helped the host nation China solidify a gold-medal triumph before a partisan home crowd in the women's team all-around.
