Handball at the 1976 Summer Olympics was held from 18 to 28 July 1976 at the Sherbrooke Sports Palace, Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard, and PEPS.
The women's handball tournament was officially introduced to the Olympic program for the first time in this edition.
