The women's artistic individual all-around of Gymnastics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 28 July–1 August 2024 in the Bercy Arena. With 60 athletes competing, the event was won by Simone Biles from United States, with Rebeca Andrade from Brazil taking the silver medal and Sunisa Lee from United States taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the qualification, each gymnast performs any of the four apparatuses: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. The top twenty-four gymnasts with the combined scores of each apparatus and subjected to two-per-NOC limit advance to the final. There, the finalists perform an additional exercise on each apparatus. The gymnast with the highest all-around score wins the event.
Preview[]
Sixty athletes qualified for the event with the American gymnasts as the top favorites for the title since they have dominated the event for two decades. The nation was represented by two Olympic champions Simone Biles in 2016 and Sunisa Lee in 2020. Rebeca Andrade seemed to become the major challenger for the U.S. team after winning a silver in 2020 and at the most recent world championships.
