Glenn Beringen is a swimmer who has competed for Australia. He competed at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.
Beringen entered the 200 metres breaststroke final as the fastest swimmer from the prelims, almost a full second ahead of Victor Davis of Canada. Despite swimming in the middle lane, he could not match Davis' world-record pace across all laps of the race; thus, he kept on trailing the leader by almost 2.5 seconds to claim the silver with a new Oceania record time in 2:15.79.
