George DiCarlo is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. He competed at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.
DiCarlo was favored to win the gold medal in the 400 metres freestyle, along with Thomas Fahrner. Entering the final with the third-fastest time from the prelims, he fought out a sprint challenge against his teammate John Mykkanen towards the closing stages of the race for the gold medal. DiCarlo's winning time of 3:51.23 sliced 0.08 seconds off the Olympic record set by Vladimir Salnikov at Moscow 1980 until Fahrner lowered it in the B-final under the 3:51 threshold. He also added a silver in the 1500 metres freestyle, lagging more than five seconds behind the winner Michael O'Brien.
