The Gangneung Curling Centre (강릉 컬링 센터) is a multi-purpose gymnasium and ice rink that was opened in 1998 and rebuilt in 2016. Although it usually has a capacity of 3,500, by hosting the curling tournaments of the 2018 Winter Olympics, this was decreased to 2,982 seats. The venue is located in Gangneung, about an hour's drive from Pyeongchang, together with the Gangneung Hockey Centre, the Gangneung Ice Arena and the Gangneung Oval. It was one of the few existing venues before the selection of Pyeongchang, and the only one in Gangneung to have been built before 2015.
