Furkan Akar is a short track speed skater who has competed for Turkey. He competed at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. He was the first short track speed skater to represent Turkey at the Winter Olympic Games when he made his Olympic debut in 2022. He was chosen to be the Turkish flag bearer during the opening ceremony of Beijing 2022 with Aysenur Duman.
