Frédérick Bousquet is a swimmer who has competed for France. He competed at the 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Bousquet started his Olympic career as a relay-only swimmer in Sydney 2000, but he and the French men's team missed the podium with a seventh place time in the freestyle and medley relay races.
Four years later in Athens, he only reached the semifinals in the sprint freestyle double (50 and 100). For the relay races, he and the French men's team faced a similar fate from Sydney, as they failed to ascend the podium with a seventh place time in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay and fifth in the 4x100 metres medley relay.
Beijing 2008 marked the peak of Bousquet's swimming career. There, he completed the third leg of the 4x100 metres freestyle relay race with the fastest split of the field (46.63) to boot the Frenchmen to the front by half a second ahead of the Americans. As Alain Bernard dove into the final exchange, he led almost the entire leg until Jason Lezak passed him near the wall at the closest margins to touch the wall first with a new world record time (3:08.24), leaving Bousquet and the French men's team with a silver and a European record by 0.08 of a second. On the individual side, he dropped to last of the top sixteen in the semifinals of the 100 metres butterfly.
After missing the selection at London 2012, Bousquet returned to his fourth Games in 2016 as one of the top two swimmers competing in the 50 metres freestyle; however, he failed to advance from the heats with a twenty-fifth place time.
