The men's singles of Figure Skating 1994 during the 1994 Winter Olympics was held on 17-19 February 1994 in the Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre. With 25 athletes competing, the event was won by Aleksei Urmanov from Russia, with Elvis Stojko from Canada taking the silver medal and Philippe Candeloro from France taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two separate rounds. The first round allows the competitors to perform a routine of a maximum of 2:40 minutes, after which the athletes with the twenty-four best scores perform another routine of around 4:30 minutes. The scores are based on the individual rankings of the judges, with each position earning one point. In each round, athletes are ranked based on these ordinal points. The athlete with the fewest classification points after two rounds wins the competition.

Twenty-five athletes qualified for the event with world champion Kurt Browning as one of the big favorites for the title, with Elvis Stojko and Scott Davis as some of the other big contenders. The previous two Olympic champions Viktor Petrenko and Brian Boitano were some of the other big names in the competition, with Alexei Urmanov, Eric Millot, and Philippe Candeloro among the European outsiders for a medal.
