Field Hockey at the 2000 Summer Olympics was held from 16 to 30 September 2000 at the Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre.

The women's field was expanded to ten teams, separating them into two groups who played a round-robin to advance the top three teams in each group to a medal round of six teams.
