Fencing at the 2004 Summer Olympics was held from 14 to 22 August 2004 at the Helliniko Fencing Hall.
For the first time in Olympic history, female fencers competed individually with the sabre. Moreover, this edition marked the introduction of a rotation system for team events and the Lexan window mask, worn by fencers while showing their faces during the competition.
