Fencing is a sport that has been featured non-stop since the 1896 Summer Olympics. It's governed by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime, which was founded in 1913. Since Athens 2004, the three team events had been rotating, so that two out of three are featured in an edition of the Olympic Games, though since Tokyo 2020 all six events have been featured in the program.
