Erik Vendt is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. He competed at the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Vendt claimed his first individual medal with a silver behind the winner Tom Dolan in the 400 metres individual medley at his Olympic debut in 2000. Four years later in Athens, he managed to repeat his runner-up feat from Sydney in the same race, losing a gold to his teammate and world record holder Michael Phelps by more than three seconds. He also contributed to the U.S. team's title defense in the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay at his third Games in 2008 by swimming through the third leg in the heats.
