Ekaterina Gordeeva is a Russian figure skater who competed at the 1988 and 1994 Olympic Games. Gordeeva was a pair skater with her husband Sergei Grinkov. Gordeeva and Grinkov had retired from competitive skating after the 1988 Olympics to focus on professional events and ice shows. The ISU changed the rule barring professionals from the Olympics before the 1994 Games and Gordeeva and Grinkov decided to return to try and make another Olympic team. After winning their second gold medal in 1994, the two retired again and focused on participating in ice shows. On November 20, 1995, Grinkov collapsed while practicing for an upcoming show of a massive heart attack and died.

Gordeeva married Grinkov on April 20, 1991 and they had one daughter together, Daria (b. 09/11/2002). The two were married until Grinkov's death in 1995. Gordeeva married Ilia Kulik on June 10, 2002. They share one child, Elizaveta (b. 06/15/2001).
