The women's synchronized platform of Diving 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 31 July 2024 in the Paris Aquatics Centre. With 8 pairs competing, the event was won by Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan from China, with Jo Jin-mi and Kim Mi-rae from North Korea taking the silver medal and Andrea Spendolini Sirieix and Lois Toulson from Great Britain taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of a final round in which all pairs perform six dives from a height of three metres which are scored based on execution and synchronization. The pair with the highest total score after six dives is the winner of the event.
Preview[]
Eight pairs qualified for the event with the pair from China as the top favorites for the title, with the nation having dominated the sport for 32 years. The medal challengers for the Chinese pair seemed to be those from the United States and Mexico, the silver and bronze medalists at Tokyo 2020, as well as North Korea and Great Britain, the silver and bronze medalists at the most recent world championships. Canada, host nation France, and Ukraine completed the field.
