Diana van der Plaats is a swimmer who has competed for the Netherlands. She competed at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympic Games.

At her first Olympics in 1988, van der Plaats swam through the last leg in the heats of the 4x100 metres freestyle relay before Karin Brienesse replaced her on the Dutch women's team that secured a runner-up spot in the final.

Four years later in Barcelona, she returned to her second Games with Brienesse, the Muis twins Marianne and Mildred, and Inge de Bruijn. Her Dutch team failed to reproduce a similar outcome from Seoul in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay, slipping off the podium to fifth.
