Denys Sylantyev is a swimmer who has competed for Ukraine. He competed at the 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

Sylantyev's major Olympic success transpired at his second Games in 2000. There, he claimed a silver in the 200 metres butterfly with a Ukrainian record time (1:55.76), trailing the winner Tom Malchow by almost half a second (0.5).

Four years later in Athens, Sylantyev was selected to carry the Ukrainian flag at the opening ceremony. His results soon declined in the butterfly double, as he barely missed the top eight final by almost half a second (0.5) in the 200 and was eliminated from the heats with a twenty-first place time in the 100.
