Dagmar Hase is a swimmer who has competed for Germany. She competed at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
Hase was highly regarded as one of the top female German swimmers since the country's reunification in 1990. At her Olympic debut in 1992, she faced against the defending champion Janet Evans in the final round of the 400 metres freestyle. With Evans leading almost the entire race, Hase made a late charge at the last two laps to catch her near the wall for a surprising gold with a time of 4:07.18. She also attempted to score another victory in the 200 metres backstroke, but she trailed the defending champion Krisztina Egerszegi by a couple of a seconds.
Four years later in Atlanta, Hase continued her podium streak with four more medals added to her career haul. In the 200 metres freestyle, she edged out Trina Jackson towards the final stretch for a bronze by a hundredth of a second. She missed her title defense in the 400 after losing the race to Michelle Smith by over a full second and trailed Brooke Bennett for a silver in the 800. She also produced a striking anchor to help the German women score a runner-up in the women's 4x200 metres freestyle relay.
